Director — Ana González Valero
Ana González Valero is a director, cinematographer and photographer from Rojales, a small town in the Vega Baja del Segura, in the south of the province of Alicante. An early interest in photography grew into a love of cinema during adolescence, which led González Valero to study Audiovisual Communication and explore the themes of greatest concern: the pursuit of dreams, poverty, lack of opportunity, diversity and impossible loves.
González Valero holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche and a Master’s in Digital Post-Production from the Universitat Politècnica de València, and is currently specialising in Cinematography at the Escola de Cinema de Barcelona.
The work of González Valero spans many formats, genres and techniques: video art, documentary and reportage; black and white, stop-motion, live action and silent film. González Valero has also served on juries and collaborated with a wide range of film festivals.
